Chris Craft Roamer
The Chris Craft project was launched in 2003 to bring together the skilled woodworkers and metalworkers at Heltzer, the furniture design business, and mechanics and welders at the Heltzer boatyards. Working dockside at Rockwell they transformed this dated vessel into a contemporary refined design showcase using hand fitted teak, stainless steel and translucent patterned acrylic. This project took over a year, and was published by The New York Times and other journals when completed.
